RetrofitWorks is an approved Scheme Provider for Trustmark and is offering our existing members a seamless transition into Trustmark membership.
TrustMark is the only Government endorsed consumer protection scheme for quality tradesmen working to high standards, and since October 2018 has been extensively upgraded and rebranded to include all the recommendations of the 2016 “Each Home Counts” independent review. Their website currently has over 750,000 tradesperson’s details viewed by the public every month on the “Find your local TrustMark Business” section of their website.
Furthermore, from 1st January 2020, all ECO Installers must be Trustmark registered and able to lodge data via the Trustmark Data Warehouse to access funded work. The PAS2035 transition from 1st January 2020 to June 2021 is easy with us – we have a range of Retrofit Coordinators already in place who can approve and sign off to that standard. Installers who certify themselves to 2019 standards in this transition period, can access a 20% uplift on grants from ECO providers.
TrustMark Membership is open to any existing Practitioner Member of RetrofitWorks, with a £100 (including VAT) annual fee.
Since 2005, TrustMark has been the only Government endorsed quality standards scheme for trades that operate in and around the home. TrustMark is a badge traders can be proud of and when displayed alongside the RetrofitWorks logo, gives homeowners and occupiers a high level of reassurance that the trader will undertake a high quality level of workmanship and treat customers fairly, in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Customer Charter which is a condition of TrustMark membership.
October 2018 saw the official launch of the “new” TrustMark operating framework, quality mark, branding and logo. Following the recommendations issued in the 2016 “Each Home Counts” independent review, it was decided by Government that it would make sense that TrustMark, with its existing licence as a Government endorsed Standards organisation, would be the new Quality Mark to fulfil all those recommendations.
New TrustMark has expanded its scope to now include traders operating within the Energy Efficiency, Repair Maintenance and Improvement (RMI) and retrofit sectors. So when consumers see the new TrustMark logo they will know whether they are engaging an insulation company, solar panels installer or double-glazing firm, they will be using a firm that meets required levels of competence, has their work regularly inspected to ensure quality, and looks after consumers.
Firms who wish to undertake work funded by the Government such as ECO (Energy Company Obligation), will have to be accredited as TrustMark members, to give consumers peace of mind and financial protection should their trader cease to trade within the guarantee period.
Furthermore, TrustMark now has a more stringent Code of Conduct and Customer Charter which firms who are in TrustMark sign up to and abide by, plus a Code of Practice (technical rules) for the relevant product sector.
Why join TrustMark?
RetrofitWorks Ltd encourages all its members who install products or provide services to join TrustMark, to provide their customers with the peace of mind that they are dealing with a trader which is registered and accredited with the only Government Endorsed Quality Standards scheme. https://www.trustmark.org.uk/
