RetrofitWorks appoints new National Operations Manager

We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new National Operations Manager. Facilities Management and contract delivery professional, Kes Wycherley, will be responsible for the successful implementation and development of several significant schemes which are currently live and ramping up for RetrofitWorks. These include the one-stop-shop retrofit service, Your Home Better in Greater Manchester, and the £40 million planned investment to improve the energy efficiency of Greater London Homes, as part of the Mayor of London’s Warmer Homes programme.

Kes, who has a passion for delivering operational excellence, with skills honed over the last twenty years in FM and domestic customer service, comments: “I am so excited to join RetrofitWorks in this important new role at such a pivotal time for the organisation, and for the UK’s fast developing domestic retrofit sector as a whole. We’re seeing so many projects ramping up with emerging pockets of high response and interest, as more consumers not only recognise the need to make their homes more energy efficient but understand that it needs to be done in the correct way. That’s where the RetrofitWorks model of A Plan for Every Home really comes into its own.

“What ultimately also attracted to me to RetrofitWorks as an organisation, is its cooperative model, which is based on collaboration and partnering, engaging with the entire supply chain, from manufacturers, to contractors, to installers and consumers. It about doing the right thing to create individually energy efficient, healthy, low running cost homes, and ultimately working as hard as we can to help the UK achieve Net Zero by 2050.

“Looking back in a year, I’d like to say I’ve been part of a team that has facilitated and accelerated the Retrofit movement to make 10000s more homes energy efficient. I am passionate about making a practical difference to help tackle the cost of living and climate crisis, through driving change. My role at RetrofitWorks will help me do just this.”

RetrofitWorks’ Managing Director, Tony Beer adds: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Kes to the team at a time when the retrofit sector is really gaining traction. Kes understands the challenges we face in the domestic retrofit sector and his experience in designing, implementing and planning home improvement programmes, will bring so much added value.

“We understand that solutions will not magically reap rewards overnight, but we need to at least be consistent with the direction of travel on the road to Net Zero by 2050. One of the biggest contributions we can make to accelerate the speed of this journey is by decarbonising our current housing stock via a strategic national retrofit programme. Kes is the perfect addition to our team to help lead us to continue on this journey.”
