Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 (HUG2)
Government-Funded Energy Efficiency Upgrades for Homes The Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 (HUG2) is a government-backed scheme launched to support households without access to mains gas in improving their energy efficiency. Running until March 2025, HUG2 provides financial support to install insulation, renewable heating technologies such as air source heat pumps, and double glazing.This helps residents lower their energy bills, enhance home comfort, and reduce carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable future. By accessing this funding, eligible households can increase the overall value of their homes while helping the UK meet its Net Zero targets.

Eligibility and how to apply
Applying is simple. Eligible households can fill out an online form, send a text to “WARM” at 80011, or call the designated support line for assistance. Once your application is reviewed and approved, a retrofit assessor will visit your home to conduct an evaluation and recommend energy-saving improvements. All work must be completed by March 2025.
Eligibility and Application Process To qualify for the Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 (HUG2), homeowners must meet the following criteria:
- No Access to Mains Gas: Your homes can't be heated using mains gas.
- EPC Rating D-G: Your property must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rated D, E, F, or G.
- Income Requirements: Your gross annual household income must be below £36,000, or you must receive certain means-tested benefits.
